Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care to patients across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Collaborate with physicians to plan, implement, and evaluate care while demonstrating competency within the full scope of nursing expertise. Manage patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various nursing interventions in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and state licensure standards. Requires an unencumbered RN license, a Bachelor's degree preferred, and adherence to Sanford's professional practice standards and code of ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Accept a drug screen as a condition of employment
- Accept a pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
