Job Summary
Traveling Railcar Repairman/Carman responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing railcars to customers and AAR standards; perform repairs and document inspections, identify repair needs beyond company capabilities, lubricate components, assist with railcar cleaning, and operate company vehicles and service equipment. Requires welding experience (4G, 5G, Stick), strong mechanical aptitude, ability to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions, and a valid driver’s license. Location: Kansas City, KS; full-time with occasional overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Railcar repair or rail industry experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Welding experience required (4G, 5G, and Stick Welding)
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license
