Job Summary
Traveling Railcar Repairman/Carman role based in Madison, IN. Inspects, maintains, and repairs railcars to customers and AAR standards; performs repairs and documents inspections; identifies repair needs beyond company capabilities; lubricates components and applies stenciling; assists with railcar cleaning and preparation; operates company vehicles and equipment; maintains a clean, safe work area and follows safety procedures. Requires railcar repair experience or rail industry background, strong mechanical aptitude, welding experience (4G, 5G, Stick), comfort with outdoor, physically demanding work, and a valid driver’s license.
