Traveling Quality Technician - Concrete

Job Summary
Verify hold points and obtain approval to release work, then conduct daily audits, testing, and special inspections of installations and materials to ensure strict compliance with contract documents. Audit contractor quality plans, review documentation for current status, and track construction deficiencies from identification through corrective action. Coordinate with quality management and site managers to evaluate punch list completion, discuss project specifications and lessons learned, and communicate quality status in customer meetings. Immediately report any quality issues that necessitate stopping work. This role requires 100% travel across multiple locations and involves occasional overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or technical/associate degree in a related field
- Two to five years successful, progressive experience in concrete construction
- Minimum of five years' work experience
- Familiarity with the special requirements with the nature of this work
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail applications
- Must be able to travel up to 100% of the time
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision
