Job Summary
Traveling Project Safety Manager responsible for leading site safety for retrofit/tenant improvement data center projects in Virginia; will participate in creating the project safety plan, track and trend safety performance, enforce safety programs, facilitate safety committees and preconstruction meetings, conduct and facilitate safety training, ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA inspections and related audits), perform project-wide safety inspections and incident investigations, manage permits and documentation (hot work, confined space, excavation, etc.), conduct industrial hygiene assessments (noise and air monitoring), and communicate safety activities with the Project Manager while promoting a culture of safety and the authority to stop unsafe work.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of construction safety experience
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Skills: Excellent judgement and problem-solving; communication; organizational; initiative; training; ability to stop work when unsafe; ability to coordinate with Project Manager
