Traveling Periodontist - Southern California

Job Summary

Diagnose and treat periodontal disease, perform surgical and non-surgical procedures, and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients referred by general dentists across Southern California. Partner with referring providers to coordinate care, educate patients on health and maintenance, and maintain thorough clinical documentation. Travel among designated offices in Palm Springs, Murrieta, Chula Vista, Escondido, La Mesa, Irvine, Placentia, Brea, and Orange to support patient demand. Maintain availability for a minimum of 10 clinical days per month as a 1099 independent contractor.

Required Qualifications

  • Periodontics Residency Certificate
  • Graduate of an accredited dental school
  • Active and unrestricted dental license required to practice in California
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current DEA registration, as applicable
  • Active NPI
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout Southern California
  • Strong clinical judgment and commitment to quality patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with General Dentists, specialists, clinical teams, and practice leadership
  • Minimum Commitment: 10 Days per Month
  • Travel: Required among designated Gentle Dental practices
