Job Summary
Traveling Oral Surgery Dental Assistant needed to support a multi-office dental practice across Florida locations. Responsibilities include assisting the dental team during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, anticipating dentists’ needs for a smooth workflow, performing basic dental procedures under licensed supervision, and managing appointment scheduling and patient records. Requires willingness and ability to travel between offices (Land O’ Lakes, Carrollwood, Regency Square in Jacksonville, and Pasadena) with mileage reimbursement provided. State-specific X-ray exposure training/certification is required where applicable (e.g., EFDA in Florida, X-ray proof of training in other states). Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills are desired, along with proficiency in dental software. Required Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education preferred but training may be provided
- State-specific X-ray exposure certification/training requirements per state (CT, FL EFDA with X-ray exposure, GA CPR/EFDA and X-ray training, MA BORID and CE, MI X-ray training, NJ X-ray training, TX TSBDE, etc.)
- CPR certification (where required by state)
- Ability to travel between multiple offices
- Proficiency with dental software a plus
