Job Summary

Prepare and administer radioactive drugs while operating radiation detection and imaging equipment to support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Handle radionuclides and pharmaceuticals following radiation safety protocols, complete required logs, and perform periodic tests. Manage PACS and image archiving workflows, including following downtime procedures and acting as PACS Superuser. Troubleshoot equipment issues and participate in QA processes. Requires ARRT or NMTCB certification, state licensure, BLS certification, and basic computer experience. Full-time days shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential float to other shifts and campuses.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) certification by ARRT
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) certification by NMTCB
  • State licensure
  • Louisiana: LRT (N) or (F) by LSRTB
  • BLS certification
  • Basic computer experience
  • Experience with PACS and image archiving workflow
  • Ability to follow PACS downtime procedures
  • Ability to act as PACS Superuser
  • Ability to handle radionuclides and pharmaceuticals following radiation safety protocols
  • Ability to complete required logs
  • Ability to complete periodic tests

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical nuclear medicine experience
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Experience participating in QA processes
