Job Summary
Prepare and administer radioactive drugs while operating radiation detection and imaging equipment for approximately 12 scans or studies daily across three scanner rooms. Perform stress tests, bone scans, thyroid studies, and GI procedures, including the ability to start IVs as required. Utilize EPIC and McKesson/CV PACS systems for imaging documentation. Work Monday through Friday with minimal call, though occasional weekend coverage and limited standby may apply. Complete a one-week department-specific orientation. This role supports the Diagnostic Imaging - Radiology team at Jackson HealthPros in Tacoma, WA.
Required Qualifications
- An associate or bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology
- State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine (WA license required)
- BLS certification
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - ARRT (N) verification or NMTCB credential
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a nuclear medicine technologist
- Experience using EPIC and McKesson/CV PACS systems or similar PACS software
- Experience performing stress tests, bone scans, thyroid studies, and GI procedures
- Ability to start IVs as required by the department
- Candidates may not have been full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year
- Weekend requirement: occasional
- Holiday and limited call/standby requirements may apply
- Scrub/dress code: professional scrubs; scrubs are not provided
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist (NMTCB-NCT) verification
- Experience with GE or Philips nuclear medicine equipment
