Job Summary
Traveling Nuclear Medicine Tech to prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate radiation detection and imaging equipment, perform routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures, troubleshoot basic equipment and PACS issues, participate in QA, and support efficient patient throughput while observing radiation and patient safety protocols. Requires Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program, ARRT Nuclear Medicine (N) or NMTCB certification, applicable state licensure, and BLS; 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting preferred. Assignment includes shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with potential to float to other campuses; travel housing and license reimbursement provided.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent
- ARRT Nuclear Medicine (N) or NMTCB certification required
- State licensure required (Louisiana: LRT (N) or (F) by LSRTB)
- BLS certification required
- Basic computer experience required
- Demonstrated ability to follow PACS downtime procedures and act as PACS Superuser
- Ability to handle radionuclides and maintain radiation safety logs and periodic tests as required by license
