Job Summary
Prepare and administer radioactive drugs and operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment. Perform cardiac nuclear stress testing and maintain compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements. Demonstrate strong documentation skills and communication with cardiologists and radiologists. Role requires split duty between a main hospital campus in York, ME and an outpatient cardiology office in Portsmouth, NH, with willingness to commute between sites as needed. Qualifications include an associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology, state license/certification to practice, BLS, and 1+ years of nuclear medicine experience; CNMT licensure preferred. Preferred items include advanced cardiac nuclear experience and outpatient cardiology exposure. Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology
- State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine (CNMT licensure preferred)
- BLS certification
- 1+ years nuclear medicine experience (cardiac nuclear stress testing experience preferred)
- Experience with IV insertion and safe handling/storage of radioactive materials
- Familiarity with maintaining American College of Radiology NM accreditation and state radioactive materials licensing requirements
- Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate with cardiologists and radiologists
