Job Summary
Travel to client locations across the United States to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems. Diagnose mechanical failures and troubleshoot equipment issues using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and reduce the likelihood of unexpected breakdowns. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to communicate status updates, recommend improvements, and ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate service records, document repairs and parts used, and comply with all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires extensive travel and is based out of Dubuque, IA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- completion of an accredited millwright apprenticeship or equivalent technical training
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a millwright or field service technician in an industrial setting
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Ability to travel extensively and work in various industrial environments, including manufacturing plants and construction sites
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in welding, hydraulics, or electrical systems
- Experience with CNC machinery, conveyors, or heavy industrial equipment
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Strong background in safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Previous experience working in a traveling or field service capacity
