Job Summary
Traveling Medical Assistant responsible for rooming patients, taking vital signs, reviewing medication/social history, collecting specimens, performing basic lab tests, administering injections and medications as directed, and performing related administrative duties including scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and obtaining referrals/authorizations. Requires high school diploma, Medical Assistant certification, CPR, computer proficiency, 2–3 years in a primary care setting, venipuncture proficiency, ability to travel within assigned territory, flexibility for varying office settings, and successful completion of HR-106 clearances within 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Medical Assistant certification (e.g., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA)
- Current CPR certification
- Proficiency in computer applications relevant to clinical practice
- Minimum of 2–3 years of recent experience in a primary care physician office setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in varying office settings with minimal notice
- Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
