Job Summary
Traveling Mechanic responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of roadway equipment across a broad territory (North Dakota and Minnesota), performing repairs on equipment including tie machines, spikers, tampers, ballast regulators, loaders, backhoes, and more. Must handle hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, driveline, and drive systems using a range of tools, welders, and cutting torches; capable of lifting up to 100 lbs. Will work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays in all weather conditions. Requires high school diploma/GED, 2 years of technical training, 5 years of heavy-duty mechanical experience, and a valid commercial driver’s license; expects competency in repairing gasoline and diesel engines and knowledge of Engineering Field Operations and safety protocols. This is a Full-Time Union role based in Minnesota with up to 100% travel (90-100% travel) and strict pre-employment screenings (medical, drug, background). Required Qualifications
