Job Summary
This position requires traveling to various customer sites to perform manual machining operations in the energy industry. The role involves working with turbine and generator equipment, and candidates must be capable of operating diverse machining equipment and using precision measurement tools.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or technical or vocational college
- 3+ YOE of in Machining trade (not CNC machining more field or manual)
- Ability to set-up & operate both stationary and portable lathes, milling, boring, grinding, and drilling machines
- Ability to use all types of precision measuring tools
- Ability to read & interpret drawings, schematics, and charts
- Basic PC/Laptop skills for using our timekeeping and expense systems, as well as email usage
- Can lift 50 lbs.
- Must have drivers license
- Must be Proficient in reading and writing
Desired Qualifications
- Passport (if you do not have one Siemens Energy can help you acquire one during onboarding)
- Past experience working at ABB, GE, Mitsubishi
- Field machining experience
- Performing machining operations on turbine & generator equipment
