Job Summary
Conduct general building maintenance and repairs across Crest Healthcare Group long-term care facilities in Central Illinois. Perform drywall repair, patching, and painting, alongside basic plumbing, minor electrical work, carpentry, and remodeling projects. Troubleshoot maintenance issues to determine appropriate repairs and fix doors, fixtures, hardware, and equipment. Complete preventative maintenance and facility projects while communicating status and completed work with leadership. This 1099 independent contractor role requires regular travel between Springfield, Charleston, and surrounding areas, with projects and hours varying based on facility needs.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of maintenance, construction, remodeling, or related experience
- General knowledge of plumbing, drywall, electrical, carpentry, and building repairs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel regularly throughout Central Illinois
