Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment and mechanical systems at client facilities while performing preventative maintenance such as compressor checks, belt replacements, and coil cleanings. Evaluate airflow, pressure differentials, and thermal performance to meet compliance standards for specialized environments like cleanrooms and radiation shielding vaults. Mount and wire control panels, install low voltage and line voltage wiring for BAS communication, and maintain accurate redline records of electrical diagrams. Collaborate with engineering staff to resolve system faults and support client handover and training. This hybrid field role requires frequent travel including overnight and extended stays.
Required Qualifications
- EPA 608 Universal Certification
- Strong practical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical/control wiring principles
- Ability to read and troubleshoot advanced electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and full flexibility to travel extensively including overnight and extended stays
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in cleanrooms, dry rooms, pharmaceutical labs, or other critical environments
- Familiarity with BAS communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus) and control system configuration software
- Associate's degree or vocational certification in HVAC/R, Electrical Technology, or Instrumentation
