Job Summary
Traveling and non-traveling Healthcare Superintendent responsible for field activities across healthcare construction projects in Florida, overseeing site safety, cost control, quality assurance, and schedule management. Works with the management team to ensure project success, maintains regular communication with Senior Superintendent and Project Director, and builds relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and subscontractors. Responsibilities include enforcing contractual documents, coordinating project teams, leading site logistics, monitoring schedules, ensuring OSHA compliance, managing subcontractor performance, coordinating material procurement and RFI processes, and contributing to business development and preconstruction efforts. Requires leadership, safety emphasis, and ability to read and interpret blueprints; prior healthcare construction experience and AHCA/ICRA exposure are preferred; travel as needed and willingness to work across multiple Florida locations.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- 5 years’ experience as a commercial construction Superintendent
- Experience in healthcare commercial construction is required
- Experience with AHCA inspections is preferred
- Experience with ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) is preferred
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Math ability to calculate figures and amounts; basic algebra and geometry
- Reasoning ability to solve practical problems with various variables
- Computer skills – basic computer proficiency
