Job Summary
Traveling Food Services Director responsible for overseeing food preparation and dining operations across a travel-enabled role in a care/community setting. Responsibilities include preparing food per menus and recipes in a safe, sanitary manner; ensuring proper portioning, serving, labeling and dating of foods; maintaining sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules; managing kitchen activities and equipment; responding to dining-room issues; suggesting menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers and reduce cost; and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Requires proven cook experience, knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines, ability to travel, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate kitchen equipment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with certification in food services a plus; a criminal background check is required.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
- Skilled in preparing meals according to instructions
- Apt in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances
- Friendly with good communication skills
- Good physical condition and stamina
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
- Must provide a criminal background check
- Must be able to travel!
