Traveling Floor Technician Full Time

Job Summary
Sweep, mop, buff, polish, scrub, strip, and refinish hard-surface floors using heavy equipment while vacuuming, dry-wetting, spot cleaning, and extracting carpets. Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types, properly process solid and infectious waste, and disinfect receptacles and carts. Transport trash, recyclables, soiled linen, and equipment between locations, replenish bathroom supplies, and respond to environmental emergencies. Assist with housekeeping functions including cleaning rooms, hallways, lobbies, carpets, and windows. Operate industrial floor care equipment and maintain storage closets. Drive company vehicle safely. Work 2nd shift (5:00 PM–1:30 AM) Monday through Friday with weekends as needed. Valid driver's license required.
Required Qualifications
- Must have valid Driver's license
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment unless they request and are granted a medical or religious exemption
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver's License Required
- Must be available for 2nd Shift 5:00PM- 1:30AM
- Must be available Monday- Friday
- Must be available Weekends as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to drive company vehicle in a safe manner
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the janitorial industry a plus
- Medical cleaning a plus
- Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
- Prior knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning agents, equipment and methods of soil removal preferred
