Traveling Field Engineer (Southeast, U.S.)

Job Summary

Support project execution by developing plans, updating schedules, and expediting material deliveries. Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintents on purchasing, subcontract administration, and cost estimating while drafting change orders. Manage document flow, review submittals for compliance, and maintain organized project records. Assist with project closeout activities, including assembling O&M manuals and preparing final payment documents. Lead training sessions as appropriate to support team development. This role requires travel across the Southeast and involves working with Primavera and construction software systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Project Engineer or similar role within the construction industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and general project administration
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Working knowledge of Primavera
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related software systems
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong team orientation, reliability, and passion for the construction industry
