Job Summary
Traveling Field Controls Technician responsible for hands-on upgrades and troubleshooting of PLC-based control panels at client sites. Reads wiring diagrams and electrical schematics, wires/reconfigures PLC I/O, maintains clean layouts, and performs guided troubleshooting with remote support. Must travel 100% to job sites, report to the Bentonville, AR office to collect tools and vehicle, adhere to safety and quality standards, and complete assignments on schedule. Requires 3-5+ years of industrial control experience, Siemens PLC familiarity, ability to interpret control diagrams, and willingness to travel extensively with OT hours; includes company vehicle, per diem, and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with industrial control systems and panel wiring
- Familiarity with Siemens PLC hardware
- Able to read and interpret control schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience working with VFDs, HMIs, and safety switches preferred
- Highly organized and attentive to detail in tight wiring environments
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Able to pass a 7-year background check and drug test
- Willing and able to travel regularly and work extended hours July – November
