Job Summary
Oversee electrical work on data center projects and manage a team of journeyman electricians, foremen, and apprentices. Plan and schedule electrical tasks to meet timelines and budgets; coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades; supervise installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems (wiring, conduits, lighting, control systems); provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations; ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and applicable codes; conduct inspections, troubleshoot complex electrical issues, perform safety audits, and maintain documentation. Lead risk assessments and report on project status and team performance; respond to emergencies to minimize downtime.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a journeyman electrician
- at least 4 years in a supervisory or foreman role
- preferably in a data center or similar environment
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- read and interpret technical documents
- proficiency with electrical tools and equipment
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work independently and in a team setting
- valid journeyman electrician license (Preferred)
- additional certifications (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E) are a plus
- valid driver’s license
