Traveling Diesel Technician

Job Summary
Diagnose and repair diesel vehicles at customer sites across the US according to OEM guidelines, performing inspections, disassembling major components, and completing road tests. Maintain equipment through routine maintenance, lubrication, and proper fluid disposal while documenting repair steps and times via computer system. Engage with customers professionally, follow general safety rules, and supply necessary tools to ensure job efficiency. This role requires at least five years of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience on class 6-8 vehicles and a Class A or B CDL. Travel is frequent, with up to 90% of time spent on the road, including occasional out-of-state trips for weeks at a time. Some weekends and evening hours will be required.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience on class 6 - 8 vehicles
- Class A or B CDL
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to travel out of state on a frequent basis for weeks at a time
- Ability to travel up to 90% of the time
- Must demonstrate and follow Housby's Core Values
- Safety glasses and safety shoes
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling
- Be able to withstand hot summer and cold winter temperatures
- Some weekends and evening hours
