Job Summary
Deliver daily hygiene care including 60-minute prophylaxes, recalls, SRPs, and new patient appointments to an average of 7 patients per day. Manage clinical duties such as local anesthesia, nitrous administration, and medical history documentation while utilizing diagnostic tools like Velscope, Diagnodent, and digital scanners. Support the patient care team with preventative maintenance and overall dental health education. This role offers consistent full-time hours with Monday and Wednesday shifts at Briarwood Park Dental Care, plus flexible scheduling for Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday across nearby offices in Illinois. Join the nation's largest dental support organization, providing administrative services to over 3,000 doctors across 39 states.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Illinois
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- Local Anesthesia and Nitrous certification
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
