Job Summary
Conduct dental hygiene procedures including 60-minute prophylaxes, recalls, and 90-minute new patient appointments in a single-column schedule averaging 7 patients daily. Perform 60-90 minute SRPs and maintain medical history documentation while utilizing digital x-rays, scanners, and electronic medical records. Complete mandatory TB testing and attend virtual or in-person training sessions. Work flexible hours across Illinois offices including Briarwood Park, Schaumburg, Westmont, and Countryside, with full-time status achievable by adding two flexible days. Earn daily hygiene bonuses and mileage reimbursement for driving hours.
Required Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Illinois
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Local Anesthesia and Nitrous certification
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
