Traveling Dental Assistant Oral Surgery

Escort patients to and from the front desk, introduce them to team members, and communicate with front and back office staff to ensure the Orthodontists schedule runs smoothly. Prepare patients for treatment, complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures, and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory by working closely with the Lead Dental Assistant. Sterilize and disinfect instruments, clean operatories per state infection control guidelines, keep patient mouths dry, and instruct patients on postoperative care. Record patient charting and clinician notes in the digital patient chart, present treatment records and consents prior to procedures, and ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturer guidelines. Participate in daily morning huddles and monthly team meetings. Specialty Dental Assistants must travel to multiple offices daily using a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, or reliable alternate transportation, as travel plans may change without notice.
