Traveling Dental Assistant — Mobile Dental Care

Job Summary
Conduct compassionate dental care onsite in long-term care communities across the state, working alongside a clinic manager, dentist, and patient transporter in a mobile clinic setting. Prepare instruments and materials for treatment while maintaining strict sterilization and infection control protocols. Assist elderly residents by transporting them in wheelchairs or geriatric chairs to and from the mobile dental unit. This role requires meeting a four-to-five-day travel schedule with frequent three-to-four-night overnight stays, including obtaining radiographer certification for X-rays. Marquis Mobile Dental Services, managed by ExcelHealth Group, LLC, provides company-covered transportation, hotel accommodations, and daily meal budgets for qualifying travel.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to meet the travel schedule and overnight requirements listed above
- Current Dental Assistant certificate
- Radiographer certification or licensure
- Comfort assisting elderly residents, including helping transport patients in wheelchairs or geriatric chairs to and from the mobile dental unit when needed
- Ability to prepare instruments, equipment, and materials for patient treatment
- Commitment to proper sterilization, infection control, and clinic cleanliness procedures
- Strong attention to detail, organization, punctuality, and reliability
- A compassionate, respectful communication style with patients, facility staff, and team members
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness to support daily clinic operations as needed
