Traveling Dental Assistant — Mobile Dental Care

Job Summary
Conduct onsite dental care for long-term care residents within mobile clinics, preparing instruments, assisting with patient transport, and managing sterilization protocols. Collaborate with clinic managers, dentists, and patient transporters to deliver comprehensive services in well-equipped mobile units across the state. Maintain strict infection control standards and provide compassionate communication with elderly patients and facility staff. This role requires a Dental Assistant certificate and radiographer certification, with a schedule of four to five days per week including frequent overnight stays. Team members travel together in company vehicles with covered accommodations and meals.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to meet the travel schedule and overnight requirements listed above
- Current Dental Assistant certificate
- Radiographer certification or licensure
- Comfort assisting elderly residents, including helping transport patients in wheelchairs or geriatric chairs to and from the mobile dental unit when needed
- Ability to prepare instruments, equipment, and materials for patient treatment
- Commitment to proper sterilization, infection control, and clinic cleanliness procedures
- Strong attention to detail, organization, punctuality, and reliability
- A compassionate, respectful communication style with patients, facility staff, and team members
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness to support daily clinic operations as needed
