Traveling Delivery Driver Class A

Job Summary
Operate a heavy-duty delivery vehicle to transport petroleum products to customers across multiple facilities, requiring up to 100% travel time between locations. Perform emergency deliveries seven days a week, including evening and weekend shifts, while maintaining minimal supervision and adhering to all DOT regulations. Conduct pre and post trip inspections, manage route updates via GPS and electronic devices, and handle ancillary tasks such as tank cleaning and product placement. Possess a Class A CDL with HAZMAT and tanker endorsements, pass a DOT physical and drug screen, and be prepared for occasional overnight or out-of-state driving to source product.
Required Qualifications
- Possess and maintain a Class A CDL
- Must have HAZMAT and tanker endorsements
- Must pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen
- Will be subject to random drug testing throughout the duration of their employment
- Requires some overnight/out-of-state driving to pick-up/source product from vendors or other PL locations
- Must be able to perform with minimal or no supervision
- Must be able to sit, climb, bend, stand for extended periods of time, etc
- Must be able to bend, squat, reach, and climb small ladders
- HS Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum 1 year Class A driving experience
- Ability to read technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to travel up to 100% of the time
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in an ERP environment is desirable
