Job Summary
Traveling cook responsibilities include preparing all foods according to the menu in a sanitary manner, ensuring proper portioning and serving per standardized recipes, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, timely meal service, labeling and dating stored foods, overseeing proper food handling and cleanliness of kitchen equipment, and suggesting menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers while keeping costs in check. Requires familiarity with sanitation guidelines, ability to operate cookware and kitchen appliances, good communication, physical stamina, and a high school diploma or equivalent; travel capability is required.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
- Must provide a criminal background check
