Traveling Construction Superintendent

Job Summary
Conduct daily site operations including scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment. Supervise all direct labor positions and manage contracted work to ensure successful project completion. Interpret specifications, coordinate pre-construction meetings, and develop look-ahead schedules to assess progress and resolve issues. Direct procurement of tools and materials, inspect work in progress against specifications, and manage labor costs through crew mix optimization. Resolve complaints, confer with subcontractors and engineers, and ensure consistent implementation of safety and quality policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years' experience working on ground-up commercial construction projects
- Healthcare construction background
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel to and from the project site
- Understanding and application of building codes and other design requirements
- Ability to read blueprints accurately
- Good understanding and knowledge of subcontractors' scopes of work and tolerances
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to express ideas clearly and effectively
- Use of proper grammar and syntax
- Good administrative skills
