Traveling Construction Superintendent

Job Summary
Oversee all onsite construction activities, direct subcontractors and field crews, and ensure projects stay on schedule from groundbreaking through closeout. Develop short-term look-ahead schedules, coordinate material deliveries and labor, and enforce safety policies including daily meetings, inspections, and hazard analysis. Manage subcontractor performance, address field issues, and maintain daily reports on manpower, progress, and weather. Ensure work meets plans and specifications while coordinating required inspections and testing. Complete punch lists, manage site demobilization, and deliver as-builts and O&M manuals. Requires 90-100% nationwide travel and multi-shift work in active retail locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- 7+ years of construction experience
- 3+ years as a Superintendent for a General Contractor
- Experience managing commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
- OSHA 30 certification
- First Aid / CPR certification
- 90-100% nationwide travel
- Multi-shift work availability
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera P6)
- General Contractor license
- LEED experience
