Job Summary
Oversee all onsite construction activities for commercial projects, directing subcontractors and field crews to maintain productivity and progress. Develop short-term look-ahead schedules, coordinate material deliveries and labor, and implement solutions to avoid delays. Enforce safety policies, conduct daily meetings and inspections, and ensure work adheres to plans and quality standards. Manage subcontractor performance, coordinate trades to prevent conflicts, and maintain daily reports on manpower, progress, and safety. Address field issues, escalate discrepancies, and manage punch list completion and final inspections for project closeout. Requires 90-100% nationwide travel with multi-shift work possible for active retail locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- 7+ years of construction experience
- 3+ years as a Superintendent for a General Contractor
- Experience managing commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
- OSHA 30 certification
- First Aid / CPR certification
- 90-100% nationwide travel
- Multi-shift work availability
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera P6 preferred)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- General Contractor license
- LEED experience
- Veteran status
