Traveling Construction Superintendent

Job Summary
Oversee all onsite construction activities, directing subcontractors and field crews to maintain productivity and progress while ensuring projects stay on schedule from groundbreaking through closeout. Develop short-term look-ahead schedules, coordinate material deliveries and labor, and identify potential issues early to avoid delays. Enforce safety policies, conduct daily meetings and inspections, and ensure proper PPE use. Manage subcontractor performance, coordinate trades to prevent conflicts, and maintain daily reports on manpower, progress, and weather. Perform regular walkthroughs, coordinate inspections and testing, and manage punch list completion and final documentation. Requires 90-100% nationwide travel and multi-shift work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- 7+ years of construction experience
- 3+ years as a Superintendent for a General Contractor
- Experience managing commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
- OSHA 30 certification
- First Aid / CPR certification
- 90-100% nationwide travel
- Multi-shift work availability
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera P6)
- General Contractor license
- LEED experience
