Traveling Construction Superintendent

Job Summary
Oversee all onsite construction activities, direct subcontractors and field crews, and ensure projects meet schedule milestones from groundbreaking through closeout. Develop short-term look-ahead schedules, coordinate material and labor deliveries, and enforce OSHA compliance through daily safety meetings and inspections. Manage subcontractor performance, maintain quality standards via regular walkthroughs, and handle project documentation including daily reports, RFIs, and punch list completion. Lead operations on commercial projects for retail, restaurant, and federal sectors across the United States with 90-100% travel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- 7+ years of construction experience
- 3+ years as a Superintendent for a General Contractor
- Experience managing commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
- OSHA 30 certification
- First Aid / CPR certification
- 90-100% nationwide travel
- Multi-shift work availability
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera P6)
- General Contractor license
- LEED experience
