Traveling Construction Superintendent

Job Summary
Oversee all onsite construction activities, direct subcontractors and field crews, and ensure projects stay on schedule from groundbreaking through closeout. Develop short-term look-ahead schedules, coordinate material deliveries and labor, and enforce OSHA compliance through daily safety meetings and inspections. Manage subcontractor performance, maintain daily reports on manpower and progress, and handle RFIs, change orders, and punch list completion. This role requires 90-100% nationwide travel and may involve multi-shift work in active retail locations. You will support leading brands like McDonald's, Starbucks, and Sprouts across commercial, restaurant, and federal sectors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- 7+ years of construction experience
- 3+ years as a Superintendent for a General Contractor
- Experience managing commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
- OSHA 30 certification
- First Aid / CPR certification
- 90-100% nationwide travel
- Multi-shift work availability
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera P6)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- General Contractor license
- LEED experience
