Traveling Construction Superintendent

Job Summary
Oversee all onsite construction activities, direct subcontractors and field crews, and manage short-term look-ahead schedules to ensure projects meet milestones. Enforce safety policies through daily meetings, inspections, and hazard analysis while maintaining OSHA compliance. Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and labor to prevent workflow conflicts, and perform regular walkthroughs to verify work against plans and specifications. Maintain daily reports on manpower, progress, and weather, communicate updates to the Project Manager, and manage punch lists and site demobilization for closeout. Requires 90-100% nationwide travel with multi-shift work possible on active retail locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- 7+ years of construction experience
- 3+ years as a Superintendent for a General Contractor
- Experience managing commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
- OSHA 30 certification
- First Aid / CPR certification
- 90-100% nationwide travel
- Multi-shift work availability
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera P6)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- General Contractor license
- LEED experience
