Traveling Construction Superintendent

Job Summary
Oversee all onsite construction activities for commercial projects ranging from retail to federal builds, directing subcontractors and field crews to maintain productivity and progress. Develop short-term look-ahead schedules aligned with master plans, coordinate material and labor deliveries, and identify potential issues early to avoid delays. Enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance through daily meetings, inspections, and hazard analysis while ensuring work adheres to plans and quality standards. Manage subcontractor performance and scope execution, maintain daily reports on manpower and progress, and coordinate punch list completion and final inspections for project closeout. Requires 90-100% nationwide travel with multi-shift work possible.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- 7+ years of construction experience
- 3+ years as a Superintendent for a General Contractor
- Experience managing commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
- OSHA 30 certification
- First Aid / CPR certification
- 90-100% nationwide travel
- Multi-shift work availability
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera P6)
- General Contractor license
- LEED experience
