Traveling Construction Superintendent

Job Summary
Oversee all onsite construction activities for commercial projects ranging from retail to federal builds, directing subcontractors and field crews to maintain productivity and progress. Develop short-term look-ahead schedules aligned with master project timelines, coordinate material deliveries and labor, and implement solutions to avoid delays. Enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance through daily meetings, inspections, and job hazard analysis while ensuring work adheres to plans and specifications. Manage subcontractor performance, coordinate trades to prevent conflicts, and maintain daily reports on manpower, progress, and safety updates. Lead punch list completion, final inspections, and site demobilization to support project closeout and turnover. Requires 90-100% nationwide travel and multi-shift work on active retail locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- 7+ years of construction experience
- 3+ years as a Superintendent for a General Contractor
- Experience managing commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
- OSHA 30 certification
- First Aid / CPR certification
- 90-100% nationwide travel
- Multi-shift work availability
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera P6)
- General Contractor license
- LEED experience
