Traveling Construction Superintendent

Job Summary
Oversee all onsite construction activities, direct subcontractors and field crews, and ensure projects stay on schedule from groundbreaking through closeout. Develop short-term look-ahead schedules, coordinate material deliveries and labor, and enforce OSHA compliance through daily safety meetings and inspections. Manage subcontractor performance, conduct jobsite walkthroughs for quality control, and maintain daily reports on manpower, progress, and safety. Address field issues, escalate discrepancies, and coordinate punch list completion and final inspections. Lead operations on commercial projects including retail, restaurant, grocery, and federal construction nationwide with 90-100% travel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- 7+ years of construction experience
- 3+ years as a Superintendent for a General Contractor
- Experience managing commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
- OSHA 30 certification
- First Aid / CPR certification
- 90-100% nationwide travel
- Multi-shift work availability
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera P6)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- General Contractor license
- LEED experience
