Traveling Construction Superintendent - National Building Group

Job Summary
Conduct daily site operations including scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment. Supervise all direct labor positions and manage contracted work to ensure successful project completion. Coordinate pre-construction meetings, direct procurement of tools, and inspect progress to ensure conformance with specifications and schedules. Resolve complaints, confer with engineering and subcontractors to address construction problems, and implement company safety and quality policies. Manage labor costs by moving personnel between projects and adjusting work schedules based on progress reports. Maintain integrity and interpersonal relationships while communicating with clients, craft personnel, and supervisory staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in ground-up light industrial or commercial construction projects
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel to and from the project site
- Understanding and application of building codes and other design requirements
- Ability to read blueprints accurately
- Good understanding and knowledge of subcontractors' scopes of work and tolerances
- Good written and verbal communication skills
