Job Summary
Traveling Construction Superintendent responsible for supporting General or Senior Superintendent in overseeing construction project areas, coordinating multiple crews, determining requirements, planning procedures, ensuring subcontract work meets specifications, inspecting work and equipment for safety, and traveling up to 100% of the time. Key duties include coordinating daily field objectives and timelines, monitoring project progress and process efficiency, assisting with schedule and budget updates with Senior Superintendents, coordinating with subcontractors for recovery plans, reading construction documents to plan procedures, producing reports such as personnel and project logs, and actively managing site safety through inspections and meetings. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 5-7 years in construction management with at least one Superintendent project, knowledge of scheduling, cost control, safety procedures, construction crafts, experience leading a diverse field team, proficiency with MS Office, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 5-7 years in a construction management role and 1 project as a Superintendent
- Knowledge of scheduling, cost control and safety procedures
- Knowledge of all crafts of construction including carpentry, concrete, structural steel, and interior build-outs
- Experience managing performance and leading a diverse field team
- General Computer skills (MS Office)
- Valid Driver's License Required
