Job Summary
Conduct concrete and compaction testing on commercial construction projects while verifying conformance to plans and specifications. Prepare daily reports on testing activities and accurately communicate results with project leads and site superintendents. Interpret plans and specifications to ensure client requirements are met during routine field inspections. This role involves extensive travel to remote sites throughout the US, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including overtime and weekends. A valid driver's license, strong integrity, and proficiency in electronic field data collection are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving history
- Ability to travel extensively
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of construction materials testing experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Must complete a pre-employment drug screen test
- Must complete a criminal background check
- Must complete a motor vehicle report

- Previous materials testing experience
- Technical expertise in electronic field data collection
- Ability to interpret plans and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook

- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I certification
- ACI Concrete Strength I certification
- ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector certification
- ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector certification
- ICC Pre-stressed Concrete Special Inspector certification
- State DOT Certifications
- NICET Certifications
- Nuclear Gauge / Radiation Safety certification
