Job Summary
Traveling Chef Manager responsible for culinary and managerial leadership across Illinois locations with up to 50% travel. Oversees hands-on kitchen operations, ensures sanitation and state compliance, leads staff with clear communication, and maintains quality, costs, eye appeal, and flavor while supporting therapeutic/modified diets. Requires CDM certification, healthcare experience, strong leadership, problem-solving, hospitality focus, adaptability, and the ability to cover shifts and collaborate with the Dietary Manager. Travel up to 50% and a 50–55 hour work week with open availability are part of the role.
Required Qualifications
- CDM certification (Certified Dietary Manager)
- Prior healthcare experience (minimum 1 year)
- Understanding of therapeutic and modified diets and preparation
- Strong leadership and staff supervision skills
