Job Summary
Conduct high-risk obstetric and gynecological ultrasound procedures, including invasive and non-invasive imaging, to diagnose and manage complex pregnancies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret findings for consulting providers while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Maintain accurate records of patient status and progress, and educate families on medication usage and equipment operation. Perform diagnostics such as lung capacity measurements and administer respiratory treatments including oxygen therapy. Requires one year of high-risk OB experience, BLS certification, and a valid state license for a 13-week travel assignment in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
- Minimum of one year of experience as a High-Risk OB Ultrasound Tech
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
- Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)
- Current ARRT Certification in Sonography
- Critical thinking
