Job Summary
Conduct general and vascular ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound waves to generate images of internal organs and blood vessels. Prepare and position patients for accurate imaging while ensuring their comfort and safety. Evaluate sonograms for diagnostic clarity, maintain equipment functionality, and document patient records in compliance with legal standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plans. Perform these duties in a fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking and adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
- Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
- Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)
- Current ARRT certification in sonography
- Other certifications or licenses
- Critical thinking

- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
