Job Summary
Conduct general and vascular ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound waves to generate images of internal organs and blood vessels. Prepare and position patients for scans, ensuring comfort and safety while performing clinical assessments. Evaluate sonograms for diagnostic clarity and accuracy, then maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to ensure functionality. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate imaging into patient care plans and maintain accurate documentation. Work efficiently in fast-paced environments while adhering to legal and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
- Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
- Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)
- Current ARRT certification in sonography
- Other certifications or licenses
