Job Summary
Perform general and vascular ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound waves to generate images of internal organs and blood vessels. Prepare and position patients for accurate imaging while prioritizing their comfort and safety. Evaluate sonograms for diagnostic clarity, calibrate ultrasound equipment, and maintain precise patient documentation in compliance with legal standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plans. Work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism and adhering to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
- Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
- Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)
- Current ARRT certification in sonography
- Other certifications or licenses
