Job Summary
Perform general and vascular ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound waves to generate images of internal organs and blood vessels. Prepare and position patients for accurate imaging while ensuring their comfort and safety. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic findings into patient care plans. Evaluate sonograms for clarity and accuracy, calibrate equipment, and maintain precise documentation in compliance with legal standards. Work efficiently in fast-paced environments while applying critical thinking to perform procedures effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
- Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
- Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)
- Current ARRT certification in sonography
- Other certifications or licenses
